SILCA Protocol RCG-3 Gravel Tire - 700 x 50mm, Tubeless

The SILCA Protocol RCG-3 is built for Category 3 gravel: harsh, unpredictable courses like Unbound, Big Sugar and The Rift. It adds flat protection without the rolling penalty of typical heavy-duty gravel tires. SILCA took the traits of fast XC mountain bike tires and paired them with a road-style race casing tuned for slightly higher pressures to resist pinch flats. The tread is a moderate pattern of tightly spaced, elongated center knobs that grow larger and taller toward the shoulders, for confident cornering grip. Protection comes from an under-tread puncture breaker plus a SealSkin layer, on a 120 TPI casing with SILCA's fastest Pulsar compound. CarbonBead BeadLock uses carbon fiber beads that will not stretch or creep, keeping a secure rim fit for life. In SILCA's lab testing it held 24.7 kg in puncture resistance, versus 22.3 kg for the Continental Dubnital and 19.9 kg for the Schwalbe Thunder Burt.
